Sleeplessness and Eggs

Unfortunately there was very little rest in our home this weekend, but what we lacked in r&r and was made up in adorableness.

Ezra is still too small for chocolates and candies, but he sure did seem to get a kick out of bunnies, eggs, and gifts. I had no idea how captivating plastic eggs could possibly be until watching him with one for 20 minutes. Due to sleeplessness (crossing my fingers it's just another phase) Ezra spent a good portion of his day campaigning to be mayor of Fusstown, but with enough distractions and some good, fresh air I think he ended up enjoying himself quite a bit.

I have decided our new Easter tradition should be vegetable lasagna, gifts and fun for the little guy, and some park lounging. It was low-key and sweet, exactly as it should be.

I hope you guys had a great weekend!

Tara

The saior suit is adorable! Too bad about the lack of sleeping. All kids are wired different and someone once told me you either get an eater or a sleeper... not sure if that's true but everything does eventually pass! Hang in there and catch up on sleep whenever you can :)

Looks like fun! I was surprised by how enthralled Carter was with his plastic eggs too!

This is random, but do you ever look at/buy clothes from soul flower? (www.soul-flower.com) They have super cute yoga clothes and an adorable tank top with a lotus flower that says namaste. I saw it in the catalog today and though of you! : )

Ahhh, what a precious little sailor!! That sounds like the perfect way to spend Easter, except for the fussiness. :) I finally got my Easter clearance fix today, and grabbed some plastic eggs for next year!

Sorry to hear about the lack of rest. Is your little man working on a new skill (or a bunch of them)? Whenever Westley had trouble sleeping, there was usually a huge explosion of developmental milestones (or teeth) afterwards.

As for plastic eggs, I totally get it. They're smooth, you can open them, if there's stuff inside they rattle... Good times.

Mama Smith- Thank you for the sleep wishes! I have never heard that before, but I can definitely see some truth in the sentiment. We for sure have an eater on our hands! Ha!

Amy- I have heard of them, but never looked at their merchandise before. There's some really lovely stuff in there! Thank you for thinking of me!

Rebecca- Yay Easter clearance! I've started to organize little holiday storage boxes to recycle (and save) most of our stuff. I'm hoping this will keep future holidays as stress-free as possible!

Noelle- Yeah, he's definitely working on some pretty big milestones and I'm sure that's where a lot of the sleeplessness is coming from. He's tackling pulling himself up to stand and he just can't help but want to do it over and over in his crib at night. It looks like a lot of fun I must admit and it's (mostly) impossible to be frustrated with something so cute even in the middle of the night. But I'm very ready for steady sleep to return!

Annie- Thank you! We think so too! :)
